A single bass and single guitar performance were recorded on an Electro-Harmonix Stereo Memory Man, then looped through the Lodestone at various settings to maintain absolute consistency. The resulting audio was recorded through Black Lion Audio Auteur Preamps and Sparrow converters into Pro Tools, then peak normalized to -5db. No additional processes or plugins were used to alter the sound.
Guitar samples were played on a Japanese Fender Mustang through an Acoustic Model 160 head and Hughes & Kettner Warp T C412A cabinet. A Cascade Microphones Fathead II ribbon microphone was placed 3 inches from the grill, pointed directly at the dustcap.
Bass samples were played on an Ibanez Roadstar II Series bass through a Gallen & Kruger 800RB head and an Ampeg SVT810AV cabinet. An AKG D112 dynamic microphone was placed 4 inches away from the grill, pointed directly at the dustcap.
